Pimp your city

This urban intervention in the city centre of Cork touches upon the issue of the underdeveloped riversides in Ireland. Comparing Irish riversides to those of other European „water“ cities, the infrastructure for „flaneurs“, thus the amount of inviting public spaces along the water is low whereas traffic volume is comparably high. A floating platform with a foldable textile roof can become means to open the public debate on this issue. As a travelling stage it can promote the idea of improved riversides in the entire country hosting temporary events along the way.
